چکیده
Campylobacter spp. is an important causative agent of diarrheal illness worldwide. The disease frequently associated with foodborne transmission, but other routes exposure are increasingly recognized. A systematic review and meta-analysis case-control studies were performed to determine the main risk factors sporadic campylobacteriosis. Suitable scientific articles published up March 2017 identified through a literature search subject methodological quality assessment. From each study, odds ratios (OR) as measures association extracted or calculated, well study characteristics such population, design, type model used factor categorization. Mixed-effects meta-analytical models adjusted by population appropriate data partitions. 4453 references, assessment stage was passed 71 focusing on eligible conducted between 1981 2012 provided 1336 ORs for meta-analysis. international travel (pooled OR=4.626), recent use gastric antacids OR=2.911), occupational animals/carcasses OR=3.022), food consumption (in particular raw undercooked eggs, poultry, beef, dairy) risks campylobacteriosis in mixed population.
